Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Vice President to lead and deliver technology audits for the Barclaycard Acquiring payments business in London. You will provide independent assurance over end‑to‑end technology estate, supporting governance, control, engineering and resilience across a multi-year transformation agenda.

You will assess risk and controls, engage with senior stakeholders, and influence decisions to secure transformation outcomes that deliver long-term value.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments processes and merchant acquiring within a bank or financial services environment.
• Auditing technology re-engineering/transformation initiatives with strong risk focus.
• Hands-on understanding of application development and software project management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technology audits across Acquiring Transformation programme and major change initiatives.
• Assess and challenge risk, controls, and engineering practices.
• Engage senior stakeholders and articulate audit findings and recommendations.
• Support governance, regulatory alignment, and cyber/operational risk considerations.
• Provide independent assurance to enable long-term value and transformation success.
