Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a Technology Architect for the Bromley area (UK) to lead architectural design and interface with stakeholders. The role focuses on Scala programming, microservices, Akka, Play, Lagom and Elasticsearch, with offshore collaboration and a strong emphasis on best practices across the SDLC.

The candidate will guide teams, drive architectural artefacts, and leverage Agile methodologies within DNAFS to deliver scalable solutions for complex banking and digital services

Qualifications

• Strong Scala programming skills and data-structure expertise.
• Experience in Agile environments and guiding teams.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders to define architecture and high-level design artifacts.

Job Description

In the role of Technology Architect, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the Architecture and high-level design artifacts. You will also do technical feasibility and identify smart ways of completing client’s requirement. You will guide the team technically and work closely with offshore team acting as a communication medium between the client and offshore. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required

• Key technical capabilities include Scala programming (core functional), microservices, Akka, Play, Lagom, Elasticsearch
• Strong data structure, algorithm and problem-solving skills
• Productivity improvement through GitHub CoPilot (GHCP)
• Experience in working with an Agile team

Preferred

• Message-oriented-middleware (Kafka, AMQP, MQ, AMPS, etc.) experience
• Distributed systems experience
• Web Application development (JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc.)
• Rest API design and development
• DDD/CQRS/Event sourced systems experience
• Relevant industry (banking middle/back office) experience
• Experience in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Experience with automated deployment technologies (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Docker, etc.)
• Experience with 3rd party Scala libraries and frameworks (Scalactic, Scalatra, RxScala, TypeLevel libraries, etc.)
• Understanding of Category Theory
