Job summary

A global digital services leader is seeking an Oracle EBS Payroll Techno-Functional Architect to support EBS Payroll and Absence modules for UK public sector clients. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience with Oracle EBS HCM, particularly in UK Payroll processes. Responsibilities include leading support for Payroll modules, conducting system testing, and translating technical solutions for various audiences. Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in Oracle EBS HCM for Absence, OTL and Payroll.
  • Proficient in UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence Processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud in the UK public sector.
  • Knowledge of HCM tools including HDL, Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulae, and Batch loader.
  • Ability to communicate technology solutions to technical and business teams.

We're looking for an Oracle EBS Payroll Techno-Functional Architect to support EBS Payroll, Absence and Core HR modules for UK public sector clients. You'll need expert knowledge of UK payroll processes and proven experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud, guiding & supporting projects and translating complex solutions for diverse audiences.

Your role

As an Oracle EBS HCM Techno-Functional Architect, you'll be instrumental in providing impactful solutions to our clients & supporting existing solutions. Your focus will be on ongoing support of Oracle EBS HCM modules, specifically UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence for the UK public sector.

You’ll need a deep understanding of all UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes, backed by practical experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud in the UK public sector. You’ll also lead client engagements, discussing integrations, data migrations, and reporting across relevant modules. A key part of your role is translating complex technical solutions into clear insights for diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior management. You’ll provide necessary support & guidance to existing solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support Oracle EBS HCM, specifically focusing on Payroll, Absence modules for UK clients.
  • Demonstrate expert proficiency in all aspects of UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes.
  • Apply hands‑on experience in Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud, particularly within the UK Public sector.
  • Conduct System Integration Testing, support User Acceptance testing and Payroll Parallel Reconciliation (PPR) and support hyper‑care.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of HCM technical tools, including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Batch Loader.
  • Lead customer discussions pertaining to integrations, data migrations, and reports related to Payroll, OTL, Absence, and other relevant modules.
Required
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in implementation of Oracle EBS HCM for Absence, OTL and Payroll modules for UK.
  • Proficiency in all the UK Payroll, Pension and Absence Processes.
  • Hands‑on experience in working on Oracle Global Payroll/Absence Cloud for UK Public sector clients.
  • Knowledgeable on HCM technical tools including HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extract, BI reporting, Fast Formulae, Payroll batch loader.
  • Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse teams namely, technical, business and management teams.
  • Knowledge and Support of existing solutions.
  • Preparation of Status reports with RAG, highlighting risks and mitigations and maintaining RAID log.

  • Excellent planner when it comes to perform release planning and other delivery planning.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members with experience of managing 5+ team members.
  • Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies & ITIL Methodologies.
