Overview

We are currently working with our long‑standing client. As a leading design and manufacturing business they supply decorative food packaging to retailers in over 26 countries around the world. They are now looking to add a Technologist to the Technical team to work closely with the Technical Manager as well as suppliers, logistics, sales teams and customers. The Technologist will be responsible for ensuring and managing the Compliance, Safety and Quality of all products supplied.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee product specifications
  • Produce and manage product risk assessments for the development of new products
  • Ensure products pass all legal and customer required testing
  • Manage our quality control and product inspection processes
  • Support the creation of accurate and legally compliant nutritional and product description labels for all food products we supply worldwide
  • Manage any customer complaints
  • Log, manage and evaluate all products related data within the business, and report to internal and external stakeholders where appropriate
  • Keep apprised of all relevant toy safety and food safety legislation and report to the business
Qualifications

Strong background working in a product compliance/quality role for an FMCG company, ideally in the food, toy, craft or packaging industry.

Excellent organisation with fantastic attention to detail.

Experience within a BRC business is highly beneficial.

Working hours Monday to Friday 9‑5, with some flexibility required.
