What you need to know

Hours : 35 per week. 5 days over 7, including weekend work.

Contract type : Permanent

Pay details : The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis.

What you’ll do

As a Technician, you’ll be a part of a team, reporting to the Senior Technician. You’ll play an essential role in providing technical support for Tramway’s creative programme. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:

  • Supporting our communities
  • Helping people get active
  • Creating cultural experiences
  • Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen
Who you are

We’re looking for someone with the right skills who brings energy to the role. If the following sounds like you, apply today! We’re looking for:

  • Demonstrate experience of a technical role within a major cultural venue
  • Demonstrate significant experience of operating sound and lighting control equipment, including supervising the set up and taking down of theatre, music, conference, and exhibition events; this to include the rigging and de-rigging of lights, sound, staging, and AV equipment.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • Assist with the monitoring and enforcing of regulatory and policy guidelines. Ensure that all relevant procedures, policies and legislation are implemented and adhered to. This includes security, health and safety and risk assessments. Ensure method statements are adhered to.
  • Ability to operate sound and lighting control equipment and to set up stages and performance installations and to manage props and armoury on behalf of companies.
  • Ability to work at heights.
