Cloudsmith, based in Belfast, seeks a Technical Writer to join the documentation team and scale our platform documentation under the guidance of the Senior Technical Writer.
You will own documentation for specific product areas, working with product and engineering before features ship, and collaborate with customer success and sales to improve existing docs. This role emphasizes clear, precise technical communication and strong developer-focused content.
TL;DR: We're seeking a Technical Writer to bolster our documentation team as we scale, growing our documentation capability under the direction of our Senior Technical Writer.
Cloudsmith is the world’s most powerful artifact management platform. Software organizations of all sizes rely on Cloudsmith to control and secure their software supply chains. Cloudsmith allows customers to manage curated private repositories that proxy public open-source software registries. Developers use these repositories as their trusted source for build artifacts. We support over 30 formats, including the most popular languages, package managers, operating systems, and AI and container protocols.
We're aimed at the enterprise, with built-in comprehensive security and advanced features for policy enforcement, integrations, and observability. Customers consider Cloudsmith critical infrastructure, a central part of their software build chain.
Cloudsmith is built by developers, for developers. We treasure the developer experience. The Tao of Cloudsmith expresses the values we live by every day. This is a special company, and now is a great time to join us.
Cloudsmith's documentation is one of our most cited differentiators, and this role exists to help us keep the bar high as we scale. You'll join our documentation team, working alongside our Senior Technical Writer, to document our platform: package registries, artifact management, software supply chain security, and the wider DevSecOps ecosystem, helping developers become experts in it.
Reporting to our senior technical writer, this is a hands-on writing role. You'll take primary ownership of documenting specific product areas, working closely with product and engineering to understand features before they ship, and with customer success and sales to understand where existing docs fall short. You'll make sure documentation is ready by the time a feature ships, and that documentation is treated as a critical part of the user experience.
