Job summary

Markel Group seeks a Contract Wordings Technician to support Underwriters and the Wordings Team in delivering business plans. You will work with expert drafters, leadership, and underwriting to provide technical wordings guidance and maintain accurate records.

You will stay informed on regulatory trends, craft clear, accessible explanations, and help align wordings with legal requirements while contributing to strategic projects and knowledge sharing across functions.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and people leadership skills.
Experience collaborating with senior management and boards/committees.
Project management capability and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Providing reviews and advice on wordings and products including Markel products and wordings.
Staying ahead of regulatory, legal and market developments and advising underwriters on impacts.
Developing and delivering advice to underwriters on wording-related issues and trends.
Maintaining the central wording repository and related records/reports.
