Technical Team Lead – Insurance – Remote/UK

My client, a leading insurance business are looking for a Technical Team Lead, to join their team and play a key role in shaping how their systems support the business. This is a strategic, hands-on role where you’ll combine technical expertise with project leadership to improve efficiency, support innovation, and enable smarter ways of working across multiple platforms.

What You’ll Do
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert and trusted escalation point for core platforms.
  • Lead requirements gathering, configuration, and user acceptance testing for new features and system rollouts.
  • Translate business needs into system capabilities that drive efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless solutions.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, building technical capability and confidence across the business.
  • Take ownership of key projects, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong technical background with experience in system configuration, testing, and optimisation.
  • Solid understanding of insurance systems (broking, onboarding, and ancillary platforms).
