About The Role

As a Technical Talent Partner, you'll join our collaborative Talent Team, acting as a trusted partner and subject matter expert in hiring across engineering disciplines ideally having worked with our tech-stack Ruby on Rails & React Native.

We are looking to hire this role in Portugal, Spain or the UK as we are scaling our technical functions here. Experience hiring Engineers in these regions is a must-have.

What We're Looking For
  • Proactively sourcing and engaging exceptional candidates through direct sourcing, building robust referral networks, and fostering deep candidate pipelines. We hire 99% of our roles directly.
  • Designing and implementing best-in-class interview processes, leveraging data to assess quality of hire, candidate experience, and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by integrating inclusive hiring practices into every stage of the recruitment process, from outreach messaging to building diverse talent pipelines.
  • Collaborating closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to deeply understand the needs of data teams and provide strategic guidance on hiring.
  • Extensive sourcing experience, with a proven ability to directly engage top-tier talent in highly competitive markets.
  • At least one year of experience working internally for fast‑growing, tech‑driven companies—a blend of agency and in‑house (or RPO/onsite) experience is ideal.
  • A deep understanding of the data talent landscape, including the unique skills and attributes that make great data professionals.
  • Comfort with context‑switching, as you’ll be recruiting for roles across different data disciplines with varying specialisations and skillsets.
  • A proactive, solution‑oriented approach, demonstrating creativity and determination in solving hiring challenges for data talent.
  • A data‑driven mindset, using metrics and insights to continuously improve recruitment strategies and decisions.
  • TA toolkit: Experience with Metaview, Otta, LinkedIn Recruiter, Notion, and G‑Suite is a plus. If you’ve worked with other advanced sourcing tools, that’s a big plus too!
What do you get for all your hard work?
  • A competitive compensation package (base + equity) with bi‑annual reviews, aligned to our quarterly OKR planning cycles. You can view our public progression framework and salary bandings here: https://cleo-ai.progressionapp.com/
  • Work at one of the fastest-growing tech startups, backed by top VC firms, Balderton & EQT Ventures
  • A clear progression plan. We want you to keep growing. That means trying new things, leading others, challenging the status quo and owning your impact. Always with our complete support.
  • Flexibility. We can’t fight for the world’s financial health if we’re not healthy ourselves. We work with everyone to make sure they have the balance they need to do their best work.
  • Work where you work best. We’re a globally distributed team. Our Spain, Portuguese & Poland team works fully remotely, but we host virtual socials and an annual company offsite somewhere in Europe with all expenses paid.
Other Benefits
  • Company‑wide performance reviews every 6 months
  • Generous pay increases for high‑performing team members
  • Equity top‑ups for team members getting promoted
  • 1 month paid sabbatical after 4 years at Cleo
  • Regular socials and activities, online and in‑person
  • We'll pay for your OpenAI subscription
  • Online mental health support via Spill
  • We’re in the process of setting up a legal entity in Poland that will come with a full suite of benefits, akin to what we offer in the UK - for now, we’ll be employing you through our EOR provider, Deel, and can discuss our current benefit offering directly.
