Job summary

A leading UK supplier of hardware solutions is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide front-line support to customers and teams. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fenestration hardware solutions and experience in customer relations. Responsibilities include maintaining technical documentation and assisting in new product development. This position is based in Rochester, England and requires a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fenestration hardware solutions within PVCu, Aluminium and timber sectors.
• A problem solver with strong customer relations experience.
• Experience with CAD software is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line technical support for customers.
• Assist internal and external sales teams with technical queries.
• Maintain documentation and support product training programs.

Department: New Product Development / Technical

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Our client is a leading UK supplier of Window & Door Hardware and ancillary products.

Responsibilities

• Front-line technical support for customers
• Front-line technical support for internal & external sales teams
• Maintain our library of profile related documentation
• Support the technical team relating to the product training programme for the business
• Support colleagues with key procedures relating to our test equipment
• Assist in the New Product Development processes as required
• Support colleagues in the Quality Control procedures as required
• Support colleagues in producing greenteQ technical documentation

Key Requirements

• Knowledge of fenestration hardware solutions within the PVCu, Aluminium and timber sectors of the market
• A problem solver
• Customer relations experience
• Experience with CAD software packages would be a benefit, but not essential
• Experience with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with CRM systems and advantage
• Full clean driving licence
