About the Role

They are currently undertaking a significant cloud integration programme and are looking for a technically strong Technical Support Specialist to join their permanent team.

The delivery team is already established, so this role is specifically designed to strengthen the cloud management, integration and platform architecture capability within the organisation.

You will play a key role in ensuring the cloud platform is not only successfully implemented, but stable, secure, scalable and effectively operated once in production.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working across cloud integration, platform management, technical support and architecture within a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the ongoing operation, management and optimisation of a cloud-based healthcare platform.
  • Provide technical expertise across cloud integration and platform management.
  • Work alongside the existing delivery team to bridge the gap between project delivery and ongoing platform operation.
  • Support the design and evolution of cloud architecture, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient and secure.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability and integrations, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across cloud infrastructure, integrations and connected applications.
  • Support the implementation and management of cloud integrations between healthcare, diagnostic and laboratory systems.
  • Work with development, infrastructure, security and architecture teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Contribute to technical standards, documentation, processes and operational procedures.
  • Support cloud deployments, upgrades, releases and changes through appropriate governance and change-control processes.
  • Ensure solutions remain aligned with internal security, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, automation, performance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical input into architectural decisions and future platform development.

  • Working with business-critical healthcare and diagnostic systems

We are looking for a technically strong individual with:

  • Experience supporting and maintaining production cloud environments.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure and application integration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across complex technical environments.
  • Experience working with APIs, integration technologies and distributed systems.
  • Ability to work across architecture, development, infrastructure and support functions.
  • Strong understanding of security, resilience, scalability and availability within cloud environments.
  • Experience working within a regulated or highly controlled environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:
  • Cloud architecture and infrastructure
  • APIs and RESTful services
  • Integration platforms and middleware
  • Microservices / distributed applications
  • CI/CD and DevOps
