Job summary

Emkay Plastics Ltd is seeking a technically minded individual to join as Technical Support Engineer, working closely with and supporting the Chief Technical Officer. This role goes beyond administrative duties, offering hands-on experience with CAD, CNC, laser cutting, tooling, and production processes.

You will learn key processes, build technical capability across manufacturing, and gradually take on routine to intermediate activities while CTO focuses on complex projects and innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience with reviewing CAD drawings and files.
• Understanding tolerances, materials and manufacturing requirements.
• Proactive problem solving and ability to support production.
• Willingness to learn and develop alongside CTO/ COO.
• Experience with ISO/compliance would be advantageous.
• Strong IT and computer skills.
• Team oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing technical drawings and CAD files.
• Preparing job cards and supporting quotations for laser cutting and machining.
• Understanding tolerances, materials and manufacturing requirements.
• Supporting production with technical queries and problem solving.
• Assisting with machinery troubleshooting and liaising with suppliers.
• Supporting oven processes and learning production procedures.
• Providing technical support to Sales and responding to customer enquiries.
• Assisting with quality-control processes and systems.
• Maintaining equipment calibration records and schedules.
• Creating and maintaining production SOPs and technical documentation.
• Supporting ISO and accreditation alongside CTO/COO.
• Assisting with technical systems, software and internal projects.
• Supporting technical trials, development projects and new manufacturing processes.
• Maintaining technical records and knowledge documentation.
