Qualifications

  • BTEC Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Heating and Hot Water Systems is essential.
  • Ability to read system schematic drawings is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line engineering support for Building Services.
  • Troubleshoot issues with plant and control systems.
  • Review BMS alarms and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure control systems operate automatically.
  • Support DEL Engineers with troubleshooting.

Salary: £48,500 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, no weekends

Location: Warminster with occasional travel to Larkhill

Your Role
  • You will provide 2nd line engineering and controls expertise to the DEL Team, supporting thorough and effective troubleshooting of issues with Building Services Plant, Equipment and Control Systems.
  • You will see issues through to resolution or identify necessary lifecycle and modification works to ensure long term reliable operation of plant.
  • You will regularly review BMS alarms and initiate an appropriate response, resolving remotely or raising Work Tasks.
  • You will ensure that all control systems are working in Automatic.
  • You will support DEL Engineers with advanced troubleshooting, utilising BMS.
  • You will provide technical information to support the Maintenance Teams.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications

A BTEC Level 3 Trade Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is required for this role. Or alternatively, appropriate job-related experience.

Experience

Knowledge and understanding of HVAC, Heating and Hot Water Systems is essential for this role, as is the ability to read system schematic drawings.

Skills

It is imperative to have good interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication. A strong skillset comprising of diagnostic, troubleshooting and analytical skills is also essential; alongside a logical and rigorous approach to problem solving.
