Job description

We are pleased to be recruiting for a new Technical Support Engineer to join our team as we continue to grow at an exciting time for us. We are a small but well established and highly reputable IT support company based in Coventry, working with organisations and charities of all sizes and industries throughout the Midlands since 2005. We have built our company to be one we are proud to represent with a good reputation. We would like to invite you to consider joining us.

We work with a wide range of technologies and systems, including :

  • Cloud technologies, in particular Microsoft Office 365; Teams, Exchange and SharePoint Online etc
  • Windows Server network environments; Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
  • Windows Desktops; Windows 10 / 11
  • Business networks; switches, routers, firewalls, wireless and more.

We are looking for applicants who are :

  • Effective and clear communicators for liaising with customers from a variety of sectors over the telephone and email. This will need to be accompanied with good written skills, an ability to think outside the box and talk calmly through problems and issues our customers may have. Working remotely will also mean keeping good communication channels open with the team.
  • Experienced in this kind of work, ideally in an outsourced IT role. We are open to all levels of experience and may recruit more than one person.
  • Self sufficient with initiative and ability to work independently : you will have a high level of autonomy so being able to manage your own workload and prioritise enquiries is important

We are especially keen to meet you if you have a willingness to learn with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Training will be on offer where needed.

We work both remotely and in our small Coventry office. We are open to you being based anywhere, but you will need to be able to get to Coventry on semi-regular basis when needed. Ideally, we would appreciate you being able to travel across the West Midlands to visit customers when required too.

Salary will depend on your experience and entry level in the role. We are looking for the right person for the company rather than a specific set of skills or number of years doing the job.
