Job description

Technical Support Advisor

Norwich outskirts

£45k-£55k plus benefits

Our client is seeking a dynamic Technical Support Advisor to step into a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment delivering projects from £100k to £30m+. Expect exposure to everything from schools, retail and commercial developments to major industrial, medical, research and high-performance residential schemes.

In this role, you will be the go-to expert for construction quality, driving standards, solving problems on the ground, and giving site teams the confidence and clarity they need to deliver exceptional work. You'll help shape project quality plans, guide testing and monitoring processes, and review site works to highlight best practice, flag design queries, and identify non-conformances before they become issues. You'll offer hands-on materials advice, oversee inspections and testing, and support complex or high-specification construction activities. When needed, you'll tap into specialist technical teams to ensure every challenge is handled with authority.

To thrive here, you will bring strong communication skills, sharp technical judgement, deep materials and standards knowledge, and a meticulous eye for detail. ICWCI membership, or progress towards it, is a welcome bonus.

Our client is particularly interested in seasoned construction professionals, site managers, clerks of works, or similar, who have spent at least 15 years delivering projects with main contractors. A varied sector background, a collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor others will set you up for success.
