Job description
Site Supervisor - Electrical Bias (Multi-Tenanted Contract)

Location: City of London

Salary: £50,000 + benefits + overtime

Contract: Full time - Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm

The Opportunity

We are a global leader in integrated facilities management, committed to providing best-in-class service within high-profile commercial environments. We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Site Supervisor to lead the engineering operations across a dynamic multi-tenanted building.

This crucial role is based around maintaining strong tenant relationships, ensuring absolute statutory compliance, and leading a small, dedicated on-site team.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Site Supervisor, you will be the technical authority on site, reporting to the Contract Manager. Your primary duties will be split between hands-on technical work and direct team leadership.

Team Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise and direct the daily workload and resource allocation for a team of four multi-skilled engineers.

  • Mentor and coach team members, providing technical guidance and acting as the primary point of escalation for complex fault-finding scenarios.

  • Manage the work schedule for all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks, ensuring high completion rates and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Manage Subcontractors: Oversee and coordinate all specialist external contractors, ensuring their adherence to site rules, safety protocols, and technical standards.

Technical & Compliance Assurance (Electrical Bias)
  • Technical Expertise: Utilise your Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) to personally undertake complex electrical maintenance, inspection, and fault-finding tasks.

  • H&S Management: Operate and enforce the Permit to Work system, review all RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and champion a proactive safety culture on site.

  • Statutory Compliance: Take responsibility for maintaining all site compliance documentation, ensuring critical electrical and building systems meet UK legal requirements.

Tenant & Client Liaison
  • Tenant Relationship: Act as the key engineering contact for tenants, addressing service requests, communicating service updates, and ensuring maintenance is performed with minimum disruption.

  • Service Coordination: Effectively manage the work order system, prioritising critical and tenant-sensitive tasks to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction levels.

What You'll Bring
  • Electrical Qualification (Essential): Must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2360/2330, or equivalent in an electrical discipline.

  • Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory, team leader, or lead engineer role, managing the workload of a maintenance team.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to liaise professionally with commercial tenants and clients.

  • IT Literacy: Proficient in using CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) systems for logging and managing work orders.
