Responsibilities

• Recommend modifications to existing procedures based on findings.
• Oversee work done by third-party Concrete Testing Services.

Skills

This position is for a Student based in Sunderland and is for students available between April – December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites, perform ongoing CSA & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Promotes value added products, collects market and job information.
• Supervises and plans for efficient use of materials and equipment.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards or procedures.
• Reviews and supervises the work of third-party Concrete Testing Services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering Technician (CET) program, or similar program.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel).
• Ability to perform physical tasks outside.
• Construction field experience would be an asset.
• Valid G2 or G Driver’s license and ability to drive a company pickup truck.
• 3-year clean drivers abstract.
• Must be able to lift up 50lbs.
