A leading food manufacturer in the UK is seeking an experienced professional to manage technical services and product data. This role involves ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards, maintaining product data, and training colleagues. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Food Science and at least 5 years of experience in technical services within food manufacturing. Overview

Here's a great chance for an experienced food industry professional to take ownership of technical services and product data management for a leading food manufacturer.

This is a key position connecting customers, R&D, and operations to ensure technical excellence, data integrity, and full compliance with customer and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main technical contact for customers – managing queries, audits, and specification approvals.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant product data including ingredients, allergens, and labelling.
  • Ensure documentation meets all legislative and customer requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement across technical systems and processes.
  • Support product launches and customer trials with expert technical input.
  • Train and support colleagues to strengthen technical understanding across teams.

This role is based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire - easily commutable from Bedford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Huntingdon, etc.

There is a competitive salary on offer alongside 6% pension, private healthcare cover and life assurance cover 2 x salary, also 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).

Qualifications
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in technical services or specifications management within food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of food labelling legislation and retailer codes of practice.
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and technical systems experience (e.g. SpecPage, Hamilton Grant).
