Job summary

True North Talent Limited is seeking a Technical Services Manager for a South Yorkshire site. The role focuses on ensuring products meet safety, authenticity and customer requirements while maintaining the site QMS and supporting cross-functional teams involved in development, packaging and commercial activities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in Food Science and have Lead Auditor/Internal Auditing experience, with a proactive, highly organized approach to balance day-to-day work with

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Lead Auditor/Internal Auditing background and is experienced in quality compliance within food manufacturing.
• Experience in technical services in a fast-paced food environment is required.
• Strong organizational and proactive approach with the ability to balance daily needs with longer-term objectives.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting customer codes of practice, ensuring compliance with safety, authenticity, quality, and customer requirements
• Maintain site QMS and related documentation in line with legislation and standards
• Collaborate closely with Technical Manager, New Product Development Manager, commercial and production teams
• Create and approve customer packaging requirements
• Prepare and attend customer meetings, providing technical support for new product submissions

Technical Services Manager - South Yorkshire - c£40,000 - £45,000

Overview

The Role/Responsibilities

• Interpreting customer codes of practice, ensuring that all new products comply with all legal safety, authenticity, quality, and customer requirements
• Maintain site QMS and associated documentation in line with changes to legislation, customer and industry standards/codes of practice to assure compliance.
• The Technical Services Manager will work predominantly, and very closely with the Technical Manager, New Product Development Manager, commercial and production teams, as well as liaising with team colleagues and other departments.
• Creating and approving customer packaging requirements
• Preparing and attending customer meetings, providing technical support for new product submissions

Experience Required

• Degree in Food Science or similar with experience in technical services in a fast-paced food environment.
• The Technical Services Manager will need Lead Auditor/Internal Auditing experience.
• Experience of working in technical services within a food manufacturing environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised, with the ability to balance day-to-day needs with long-term objectives.
