Role: Technical Sales Specialist

Salary: Up to £60K + 10% performance bonus

The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join a leading organisation within the industrial and energy sector.

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will take the lead in driving growth, developing strategic business plans, and building strong client relationships across key markets. You’ll identify new commercial opportunities, support market expansion initiatives, and represent the company at industry events.

This role suits a commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has knowledge in the gas industry, enjoys strategic thinking, and is passionate about achieving measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth by identifying, developing, and securing new commercial opportunities.
  • Shape and execute forward-thinking business development strategies to achieve long-term goals and expansion into new markets.
  • Lead impactful marketing and sales initiatives, including campaigns, digital content, events, and webinars.
  • Develop high-quality technical and thought leadership materials such as white papers and case studies to support brand positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and events, showcasing expertise and building strong networks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop sustainable market strategies for emerging energy sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision‑makers to ensure ongoing business success.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and transparency in business operations.

  • Proven experience working as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role within the industrial, energy, or technical sectors.
