Based in the UK, you will work with a UK manufacturer supplying specialist equipment to global industries and travel internationally to support distributors and customers.

You will develop opportunities, provide technical support, deliver demonstrations, and maintain CRM and forecasts while contributing to market growth and product development strategies.

Qualifications

• Engineering HND level or equivalent.
• Background in technical or engineering sales.
• Experience in international sales with distributors/agents.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to undertake international travel.
• Experience with SAP Business One or Sage 50 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with global distributors and agents to grow international sales.

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically minded and commercially driven Technical Sales Representative to join a growing international sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established UK manufacturer supplying specialist technical equipment into a wide range of global industries, including automotive, aerospace, coatings, electronics and materials testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with a global network of distributors and agents, supporting sales growth across international markets.


• Provide in-depth technical support to customers, including interpreting testing standards and advising on suitable equipment specifications.


• Develop new international business opportunities, managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to order.


• Visit customers to follow up sales enquiries, develop relationships and convert opportunities.


• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and training sessions both remotely and on-site.


• Maintain accurate CRM records, manage the sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.


• Monitor competitor activity and market trends, feeding information into sales strategy and future product development.


• Negotiate sales prices and discounts in consultation with the Sales & Marketing Manager.


• Support the development and implementation of sales strategies to increase market share.


• Assist with marketing campaigns, events, trade shows, website content, social media, email marketing and promotional materials.


• Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and emerging industry trends.

Experience & Skills

• Engineering HND level or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.


• Previous experience within a technical sales or engineering sales environment.


• Experience of international sales, ideally involving distributors, agents or multiple overseas territories.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers from different backgrounds and cultures.


• Experience using SAP Business One or Sage 50 would be beneficial.


• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.


• Willingness and ability to undertake international travel.
