Job summary

A leading construction products company in Northern Ireland is seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to promote their products to clients in the Midlands & North Leinster. The role requires strong technical knowledge and excellent sales skills. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, providing technical guidance, and delivering presentations. The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in a construction-related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in technical sales. This position is primarily field-based.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in construction products.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, products, and building regulations.

Job description

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will actively promote our range of construction products to Developers, Contractors, Architects and Engineers in the Midlands & North Leinster area. The role combines strong technical knowledge with excellent sales skills to identify opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry. This is primarily a field-based role

Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities for Mannok’s full range of construction products through direct engagement with Contractors and Developers.
  • Monitor construction projects on CIS from planning stage to identify product promotion opportunities.
  • Build relationships with Contractors, Developers and their design teams by offering bespoke cost effective solutions to meet specific project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and product recommendations based on customer needs and project specifications.
  • Carry out technical presentations for stakeholders, including product training and CPD’s.
  • Liaise with Mannok sale team and technical support agents on potential and ongoing projects.
  • Visit sites during construction stage to offer advice on best practice whilst using our products and to help solve any challenges which may arise.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, construction products and building regulations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Skills and Qualifications
  • Third level qualification in a construction related discipline is preferred.
