Our client is a leading UK engineering company who build bespoke equipment solutions within retail, healthcare, military and much more. The company manages projects from initial design through to installation, commissioning, and after-sales support, ensuring each solution is tailored to client needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Technical Sales Project Manager to lead a team of 10 in a busy sales and projects office. You'll oversee quotations, order processing, and customer enquiries while driving improvements to processes and ensuring a first-class customer experience. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you'll have the authority to implement change, own your department, and play a key role in the company's continued growth.

What's involved for the Technical Sales Project Manager…
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 10 (1:1s, appraisals, performance management).
  • Oversee customer quotations, orders, and enquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Monitor, capture, and report on cost variations for projects.
  • Confidently explain commercial variations to clients and secure uplifted order values.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analysing lessons learned and streamlining processes.
  • Collaborate with installations and distribution teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
  • Play a key role in implementing new Sage 200 systems
  • Establish and track KPIs to balance team workload effectively.
  • Produce regular performance reports and quarterly appraisals.
What you'll need…
  • Proven experience managing sales, projects, estimators or similar.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience with costings or quotations
  • Highly computer literate (MS Word, Excel; training provided on internal systems).
  • Commercial awareness and confidence when speaking with customers.
