A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Technical Sales Executive in Gloucester. This role requires individuals with a technical background and excellent communication skills to develop relationships with clients and identify new sales opportunities. We are extremely proud to be working exclusively with this Gloucestershire Client who are looking to recruit their next Technical Sales Executive. Due to the continued growth they are experiencing they are now in a position to put into place their plans for an additional person.
This is not your typical sales role, it is absolutely paramount that individuals have a commercial and technical background due to the nature of our Clients Industry. The role will involve identifying new customers as well as ensuring relationships are strong within existing Customers. There will be a lot of reporting and analytics involved in this new role, enabling the Sales Director to truly understand the Market Competitor analysis to ensure the growth and strategic plans of the business moving forward. Co-ordination and reporting of other pre & post sales-related activities including marketing, pricing, design, commercials and project financial review will all be part and parcel of this new role.
The role will suit someone who has been working within a Commercial department and is keen to enter into a Sales arena. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a robust and resilient demeanour. You must have the ability to engage in intellectual conversations with Clients and be comfortable in time to command an audience as you will be presenting to future Clients further down the line.
You will be the first person to deal with all new enquiries coming into the business, thus you must not be phased by the pre qualifying process that you will be responsible for. This is not a role for someone who is looking to be out on the road immediately selling, as there is a vast amount of knowledge that needs to be absorbed and hence this role will start at the junior end of the sales team. The position is offering a competitive salary and there will be a team bonus attached, however, if you are seeking a role with individual monthly, quarterly commissions this will not be the role for you.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have come from any of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or Product Development. You will work within a small team of 6 other individuals, 3 of which are Technical Sales people.
The successful candidate will have a proactive a mindset and have a high attention to detail due to the amount of tender work involved in this role and will not be phased by working on large multimillion pound projects. The role will be predominantly office based, however, occasionally the role will involve visiting Clients premises - hence the need for a car and driving license.
