10 Recruitment are delighted to be working with a progressive, family‑owned precision sheet metal manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business, recently strengthened by significant investment in cutting‑edge automation and equipment.

With over 50 years of industry experience, they are a leader in precision sheet metal manufacturing, providing a full‑service solution that includes design, CNC punching, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, fabrication, powder coating, and complete assembly services. They serve a wide range of sectors across the UK, including Agricultural, Automotive, Construction, Digital Signage, Food Processing, Kiosk & Vending, Scientific & Medical, and Switchgear.

📍 Location: West Yorkshire
💷 Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year + Monthly Profit‑Related Bonus (£2k‑£6k p.a.)
⏰ Hours: Monday - Friday, full‑time

The Role

As a Technical Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts. This role is customer‑facing only, focusing on building strong relationships, understanding client requirements, and providing tailored solutions aligned with production capabilities.

You’ll be the main point of contact for your accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery and supporting the business in achieving sales growth.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the full account lifecycle, from enquiry to order completion
  • Building and maintaining strong, long‑term client relationships
  • Understanding customer technical requirements and providing accurate solutions
  • Preparing and delivering quotations and proposals
  • Collaborating with production, engineering, and design teams to ensure client satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities for account growth
  • Monitoring account performance and providing insights to inform strategy
  • Attending client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required
Required Experience
  • Previous experience in sales or account management within a subcontract engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of precision sheet metal processes including laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and powder coating
  • Proven track record in managing customer accounts and delivering sales growth
  • Ability to provide accurate manufacturing estimates and quotations
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and IT tools
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal teams
