Job Summary

Kiwa Agri-Food are seeking a Technical Reviewer to join their Food team. In this role, you’ll carry out technical reviews of BRCGS and other Accredited Schemes, ensuring only high-quality reports progress to certification. You’ll also provide expert technical support to the food team and our customers, helping maintain the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. This is a remote role, with occasional travel to our Harrogate office.

About The Role
  • Review BRCGS and other accredited scheme reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Assess corrective actions, root cause analyses, and preventative measures for non-conformities.
  • Make certification recommendations based on objective evidence.
  • Support auditors, coordinators, and clients with technical guidance and advice.
  • Manage site recalls, food safety incidents, and post-audit appeals where required.
  • Maintain records and data accurately in relevant IT systems.
  • Contribute to team meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitor review quality and performance against targets, taking action where needed.
Do you have what it takes?
  • Degree or higher education qualification in a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of BRCGS schemes (ideally including Packaging & Storage & Distribution) and other accredited scheme requirements.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant food or packaging processes, key risks, control measures, and applicable legislation.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven experience in managing customer relationships.
  • Proficient in basic IT applications, with the aptitude to learn scheme-specific systems.
What can you expect from us in return?
  • £29,000 - £32,000 per annum
  • Generous Annual Leave – Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
  • 36.25 hours per week – Monday to Friday, remote role with occasional travel to our Harrogate office
