Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a technically minded Technical Project Manager to join the Fire Deployment delivery team in the UK. You will bridge operational needs with software architecture, guiding delivery strategy and coordinating cross-functional teams from contract award through customer sign-off.

You’ll engage strategically with customers, manage remote and on-site activity across UK locations, and ensure projects meet scope, quality, and timing.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Project Management, or an engineering discipline.
  • Solid experience delivering large, complex software solutions to enterprise or public sector customers.
  • Ability to obtain NPPV3 security clearance requiring UK residency.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project plans, RAID logs, RFCs, requirements docs, contract changes, and financial tracking.
  • Coordinate agile delivery teams from contract award through deployment and sign-off.
  • Capture operational requirements, produce solution specs, and design architectures with internal and customer leads.
  • Act as primary technical/operational contact for strategic customers with remote and on-site engagements across the UK.

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager with oversight by the Head of Delivery, this role oversees all aspects of deploying Motorola Solutions' Guardian Suite of Control Room Products to strategic emergency services customers.Acting as a subject-matter expert, you will bridge the gap between operational emergency response needs and complex software architecture. You will guide delivery strategy, coordinate cross-functional agile delivery teams including business analysts and deployment/quality assurance engineers, and manage end-to-end deployment workflows.
