Technical Programme Manager

6 months Contract Inside IR35

Pay rate- 22-30 GBP per hour

A well known Global EV Manufacturer is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to join their team on a 6 months contract. As a Technical Programme Manager you will be managing technical aspects, budgets, and timelines, serving as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, and ensuring projects meet quality and performance standards. The role requires a strong multidisciplinary engineering background and skills in project management, risk assessment, and communication.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is typically required, or relevant industry experience.
Technical expertise
  • A strong background in multi-disciplinary engineering and experience with specific technical areas of the product being developed, as well as a willingness to deep dive areas and learn.
  • Ability to translate technical details to non-technical personnel. o Ideally someone that understands automotive programmes, cradles to grave.
  • Worked within OEM, 1st Tier or as a service supplier to the automotive industry.
  • Project management: Proven experience with project and risk management, along with an understanding of project/product life cycles and delivery plans.
  • Willingness to undertake a professional qualification like PRINCE2, PMP/APM over time.
  • Actively managing programmes not just tracking deliverables for gateways.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate engineering teams to achieve project success and ensure accountability across the delivery teams.
Communication
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders, from engineers to senior management, KAM and customers.
Character
  • Self-starter that has confidence without ego, dynamic and ability to demonstrate he or she has operated across multiple levels of an organization from upper management to working levels. "Roll your sleeves up and get stuck in" type of mindset. Good balance of honesty, care, vision and action.
