Job description
DESCRIPTION

Nexar is building intelligent vision systems at scale - from dash-cam hardware to cloud-powered mobility intelligence. We move fast, we operate in the real world, and we’re scaling the hardware + data ecosystem behind autonomous-era safety and mobility.

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager who thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, operations, and system-level execution. You’ll be the connective tissue between our hardware engineering, embedded software engineering, supply chain, and operations teams, ensuring our products ship smoothly, our cross-team alignment stays crisp, and our UK and EU grant programs are delivered with rigor and efficiency. You remove friction, not add process for the sake of process. You bring clarity, unblock teams, and keep momentum high.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • End-to-End Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end program execution across hardware, operations, and manufacturing workstreams

  • Execution & Planning: Drive structured planning, milestones, and dependencies without slowing speed of execution

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Create seamless alignment and handoff between HW, Ops, Product, and GTM teams

  • Risk Management: Proactively surface risks, elevate early, and resolve blockers with urgency

  • Grants Ownership: Own UK and/or EU grants delivery: timelines, stakeholders, reporting, compliance, partner coordination

  • Transparent Communication: Maintain clear program communication and visibility

  • Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence and repeatable program rhythms across HW development cycles

  • Supplier & Partner Management: Ensure suppliers, partners, and internal teams deliver on schedule and quality targets

REQUIREMENTS

Technical skills & qualifications

  • 6+ years program management in hardware, systems, or complex technical environments

  • Hands-on experience with hardware development cycles (NPI, manufacturing, validation)

  • Strong execution background in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments

  • Experience managing external vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Familiarity with government/innovation grants in the UK ecosystem

People skills & traits

  • Bias for action and clarity - you simplify, unblock, deliver

  • Excellent communicator with a talent for alignment without bureaucracy

  • Operates with ownership, urgency, and sound judgment

  • Comfortable zooming between strategic planning and tactical execution

WHAT WE OFFER
  • The chance to have a meaningful and positive impact on roads and cities’ safety
  • Flexibility - in schedule, work location, benefits
  • Competitive compensation
  • A fast-paced work environment full of kind, smart, and highly driven people
  • Great professional and personal growth opportunities
  • Regular team-building events and well-being initiatives/facilities
