Overview

Shaper/Caper are recruiting for the new role of Technical & Production Manager. Shaper/Caper is looking for a Technical & Production Manager to join our small but mighty team in Dundee! We’re an award-winning dance company creating playful, heartfelt, and socially engaged work across performance, participation, and digital platforms. You’ll help bring our bold ideas to life, from first sketches to opening night, ensuring every project runs safely, smoothly, and to the highest professional standard.

You’ll plan and deliver all technical aspects of our productions, manage touring logistics across Scotland, the UK and beyond, and work closely with the Artistic Director and Producer to make sure each show is as inventive and seamless as the last. We’re looking for someone organised, proactive and creative — a problem-solver who loves collaboration and cares about detail, inclusion, and artistry in equal measure.

• Based in Dundee with national touring
• Full-time or freelance (negotiable)

Contract & Salary

• Contract: One year fixed term contract with ambition to extend subject to ongoing fundraising.
• Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience (Pro rata £24,000 to £28,000).
• Hours: 30 hours per week (full time week is 37.5 hours).
