Job description

We’re looking for experienced senior technologists with equal parts deep technical knowledge and practical experience deploying that knowledge to deliver value in a business and industry context.

In Brief

You will be responsible for devising novel and practical solutions to our clients’ trickiest problems and then getting them implemented to deliver business outcomes. This will require using your extensive technical knowledge and experience, an outcomes-first focus on using technology to deliver business benefits, curiosity and knowledge of our clients’ businesses and industries, and outstanding advisory and client communication skills. You will build relationships with senior stakeholders, engaging in the business terms that resonate and telling them how technology can help them solve problems. You are also keen to take on wider Technical Principal responsibilities – actively taking ownership of ensuring the commercial success of your projects and playing a part in enabling the wider success of the company.

The Role

• Using your knowledge, skills and experience to devise solutions to hard problems and deliver real-world solutions for clients.
• Building strong relationships with clients to generate loyalty and growth.
• Taking part in pre-sales: leading early-stage meetings, contributing to bids and pitches.
• Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues in both technical and consultancy skills.
• Taking overall responsibility for the quality of delivered solutions, overseeing quality within your area of expertise.
• Actively contributing to a community of practice in your area and helping produce relevant thought leadership content.
• Networking and representing the company at events.
• Collaborating with Delivery Directors to ensure clients receive a great service and experience.

About You

• 6+ years of experience in technical roles, including at least 3 years in an agency/consultancy context.
• Deep knowledge and proven experience in at least one of the following areas: Cloud platform architecture/migration (AWS and/or Azure) or Digital platform architecture and enterprise modernisation.
• Track record designing and delivering complex technical solutions that deliver business benefits to clients.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous contexts, making decisions with incomplete information and juggling multiple stakeholder agendas.
• Interest in the business and industry side, with relevant knowledge and context in one or more sectors.
• Excellent consulting and advisory skills, capable of leading, persuading, explaining and communicating with all levels of stakeholders, including C-suite.
• Proactive in finding additional areas to add value for clients and shaping solutions they are willing to buy.
• Collaborative, team-oriented, comfortable in a culture that values collective success over personal attribution.
• Can-do attitude, ready to take ownership of situations and problems with a positive approach.
• Pre-sales experience in an agency context, comfortable leading opportunity-stage meetings and creating compelling narratives.
• Leadership presence; people want to follow you even if they do not report to you.

• Transparent pay scales and a profit share scheme based on role and company performance.
• Base salary ranging from £95,700 to £107,800, with an average profit share of £13,250 to £28,500 depending on experience and company performance.
