Job summary

Manpower is recruiting Technical Operators to join a secure, high-profile manufacturing project based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a prestigious programme with potential to last up to 14 months.

To support the manufacture, assembly, testing, and quality assurance of products and systems, ensuring customer requirements are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Operations.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical products in accordance with engineering specifications and work instructions.
• Carry out diagnostic checks and fault-finding activities on products, components, and assemblies.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Complete quality inspections and testing activities, ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately record production, testing, and inspection data.
• Support root cause investigations into quality, process, or equipment issues.
• Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain machinery, tools, fixtures, and test equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Follow all Health & Safety requirements and ensure compliance with site standards.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Assembly Team Members where required.
• Support new product introductions and process improvement projects.
