Job summary

Contract Terms: 35 hours per week (full time), permanent
Salary: £39,193 - £43,038, Grade E4-E1 + Car Allowance
Location: Invergordon with hybrid working
Closing Date: Sunday, 30th November 2025
Interview Date: 8th and/or 9th December 2025

About the Role
Albyn Housing Society is looking for a Technical Officer to co-ordinate the delivery of our planned works programmes and stock condition surveys. This is a hybrid working position offering a blend of office and remote working.

As part of the team, the role will co-ordinate high quality frontline services to deliver the installation of new kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems, roofing and windows and doors, ensuring value for money through procurement and robust management of our external contractors.

The role will also co-ordinate our stock condition survey process to inform our future investment plans and ensure our properties meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standards (SHQS) and the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH).

We’re looking for someone who…

  • Is a real team player who enjoys working with colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a construction or surveying position, with experience of delivering refurbishment or large repairs programmes.
  • Has good technical knowledge of building design and construction, alongside working knowledge of health and safety legislation and building regulations.
  • Is competent in the use of Microsoft packages and the production of formal written specifications.
  • Has experience of managing contractors or subcontractors.
