A UK-based higher education institution is seeking a Technical Officer to join its Arts & Humanities Resource Centre. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the Resource Centre and providing support for teaching and research. Ideal candidates will have expertise in art and design, with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in technical environments. The University offers a collaborative workplace and generous annual leave.
Our team comprises approximately 200 technicians across the University. We provide specialist support to undergraduate and postgraduate students and the student experience is at the heart of what we do.
We're looking for a Technical Officer to join our Arts & Humanities Resource Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative, hands‑on environment and wants to make a real impact on learning and research.
As part of our diverse technical team, you'll help ensure the smooth running of the Resource Centre and contribute to teaching, research, outreach, and enterprise activities.
You'll bring specialist knowledge of art and design materials, processes, and techniques, and use this expertise to support students and academics. Your role will include providing technical advice, training, and practical instruction in your areas of specialism.
