East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) is seeking a Technical Officer to design and develop technical surveillance systems and ensure their effective operation and deployment.

In this role you will be working closely with colleagues in the Regional Organised Crime Unit, helping gather intelligence and evidence against the most serious of crimes that impact our communities.

This role is under a career grade scheme, starting at Grade J and working up to Grade L as you gain experience and develop within the role.
You will normally be appointed at the bottom of the scale £39,276 - £54,696.
The material handled in this post may be of particular sensitivity to the UK and may as a consequence be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may be granted access.
MV/SC vetting is required for this role, which will be conducted during pre-employment checks.
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
We are a collaborative unit of officers and staff tackling the most serious, organised, and violent crime, counter terrorism and extremism and providing forensic services on behalf of the region.
