Technical Manager – Electrical

A leading retailer with an enviable track record of success over the decades. Their Electrical team is well established with a range of products customers rave about. Due to internal promotion they are looking for a Technical Manager for Electrical.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering the quality strategy for your category ensuring legal, safe and fit for purpose products are available for customers, with the aim of reducing customer complaints, faulty returns and negative customer reviews.
Work with design, buying and merchandising on NPD to deliver market beating ranges.
Conduct product risk assessments, technical benchmarking, and user trials to ensure products meet brand guidelines.
Approve samples, packaging, copy, instruction manuals and relevant documentation in line with the critical path, meeting agreed timescales to deliver products for sale.
Supplier visits and audits.
Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers to ensure your products are meeting standards, complying with legislation in the UK and other countries.
Analyse returns and agree corrective action plans/improvements.
Provide technical advice and support to buying and customer service teams.
Report into the Head of Technical.
