Job description

Technical Manager (9 month FTC) – Up to £60,000 (pro‑rata) – London (hybrid)

Pod Talent are excited to be partnering with one of the fastest growing drinks businesses in the UK, who are looking for a technical manager to join their team for a 9 month maternity cover.

In this role, you will be responsible for all end‑to‑end technical operations, leading all EPD and NDP activity, managing issues across complaints and quality, technical strategy, managing relationships with external parties such as manufacturers and 3PL partners, as well as managing artwork and legal compliance. This is a fantastic role if you enjoy being hands‑on and getting stuck into any task at hand! You will also be managing 1 direct report.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and maintain all KPIs across the product range across quality and complaints, ensuring any issues are investigated and actioned
  • Manage relationships with third party manufacturers and logistics partners, ensuring they are being upheld to their KPIs and certification standards are maintained
  • Maintain the QMS program, ensuring all product specs are correct, and customers are updated with any changes
  • Responsible for all compliance related issues, coordinating the due diligence testing programme, and supporting the project manager in all EPD and NPD queries
  • Responsible for food safety, legislation, and artwork
Experience we are looking for:
  • 5+ years in a similar role (quality assurance/ technical), within a beverage or food environment
  • HACCP Level 4 and a food science/ technology related degree
  • Proven end‑to‑end experience across auditing, third party relationship management, packaging artwork development
  • Previous line management experience
  • Ideally experience working with international regulations and labelling requirements
  • Great communication skills, a pragmatic approach, and a confident individual that likes to take initiative!
