  • Collaborate with college providers and end-point assessment organisations.
  • Partner with employers and training providers for compliance.

Job description
Overview

We are seeking a part‑time Independent Technical Assessor / Apprenticeship Coach to support learners on their apprenticeship journey in a STEM subject.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach apprentices on a one‑to‑one basis, monitoring and assessing their progress towards timely completion.
  • Develop and review schemes of learning, lesson/delivery and assessment plans, and delivery and individual learning plans.
  • Maintain records to track student achievement and performance.
  • Work closely with employers to review workplace training against the delivery plan; conduct regular progress reviews.
  • Ensure apprentices reach their planned gateway date, fulfilling all elements and coordinating with the End Point Assessment Organisation.
  • Prepare and provide developmental histories as required.
  • Collaborate with the college provider setting and end‑point assessment organisations (EPAO).
  • Partner with employers and the training provider to ensure compliance with funding bodies, awarding organisations and college frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Current industry experience in Engineering.
  • Experience delivering apprenticeships.
  • Experience working with employers within a college provider setting.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience working with end‑point assessment organisations (EPAO).
Qualifications
  • Possession of an A1 or TAQA 301‑3 Assessor Award, or willingness to work towards one.
  • Appropriate degree or equivalent/relevant Engineering vocational qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Numeracy and literacy qualifications (minimum Level 2).
