Job summary

ALMA1938 is a British heritage luxury leather interiors brand with studios in London and Dubai. We are seeking a Technical Manager to own every order from first quote to final delivery, lead the estimating team, review drawings, and plan joinery and materials ahead of production.

The candidate will set quality standards in the factory, attend site meetings, and oversee health and safety compliance while maintaining margins through accurate cost estimation and close supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, especially architecture, fit-out or furniture is essential.
• Ability to read detailed architectural drawings and plan joinery and materials.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office suite for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating team to ensure quotes are accurate and timely.
• Review client and construction drawings and plan production inputs.
• Set and enforce quality standards in the factory and inspect orders before shipment.
• Attend site visits and project meetings with clients.
• Oversee health and safety compliance in the factory.
• Analyze variances between actual and estimated costs to improve margins.

• Attend site visits and project meetings
• Oversee health and safety compliance in the factory
• Compare actual against estimated costs to improve margins and estimating

What you will bring

• A manufacturing background, ideally architectural, fit-out or furniture
• ERP experience, plus strong Excel, Outlook and Word skills
• Able to read detailed architectural drawings
• Experience leading factory staff Highly organised, detail focused and confident with clients
