A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Technical Manager for a specialized sheet metal fabrication company in Exhall, England. This role involves leading tooling design and development, ensuring manufacturing efficiency, and overseeing a small team. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD/CAM skills, experience in automotive fabrication, and a sound understanding of DFM principles. Competitive salary between £50,000 – £60,000 per year is offered, along with comprehensive responsibilities including problem-solving and compliance with HSE standards.
Contek Recruitment are currently working with a specialist sheet metal fabrication company, based in Coventry, West Midlands, who are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Established in 1948, our client works with their customers through every stage of vehicle development, from prototyping and verification, through to full production and aftermarket. With in‑house tooling and design facilities, combined with their advanced production facilities, they work with the world's leading automotive companies such as Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, Volta and LEVC. Our client manufacturing facilities are home to state‑of‑the‑art equipment, set across four sites, occupying more than 120,000 square feet. With significant recent investment, the expanded facilities give them the capacity and capability to meet the needs of their growing customer base. Their processes include all aspects of automotive fabrication, including pressings, 3 & 5‑axis laser cutting, brake press machining, welding, and metal finishing.
Technical Manager.
Full time, permanent.
Monday to Thursday (07:30 AM until 15:30 PM) and Friday (07:30 AM until 12:00 PM)
Between £50,000 – £60,000 per year (dependent on experience).
