Due to an increase in Production projected in 2026, this Developer has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join the team within the Bristol region.

As the Technical Manager, you will support the technical delivery of the development, ensuring all design, engineering, and regulatory aspects are progressed efficiently and to a high standard. This includes managing planning applications, NHBC processes, engineering reviews, and document control, while supporting site and commercial teams throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
  • Membership of ICE, CIAT, CIOB or similar professional body
  • Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Principal Designer and Health & Safety qualifications
Key Duties
  • Progress planning applications and manage discharge of planning conditions.
  • Liaise with local authorities and statutory bodies to secure timely approvals.
  • Support the planning lead with feasibility and technical input.
  • Manage NHBC site creation, initial enquiries, and condition resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and other statutory requirements.
  • Submit and secure approvals from Building Control and warranty providers.
  • Review civil and structural engineering designs for compliance and value engineering opportunities.
  • Manage consultants delivering engineering designs, legal plans, and utility layouts.
  • Oversee technical approvals for S104, S38, and S278 agreements and ensure timely legal completions.
  • Maintain and manage all technical documentation using 4Projects/Viewpoint.
  • Coordinate and issue accurate design information to internal departments and external consultants.
  • Chair design team meetings and attend site progress meeting.
  • Collate and manage all handover documentation required for NHQC & legal completions.
  • Prepare and issue working drawing packs for tender and construction.
  • Attend relevant pre-start meetings, briefing teams on technical matters.
  • Resolve technical queries and conduct site visits as required.
  • Provide technical input to commercial packages.
  • Monitor and report technical fees, including S106 obligations.
  • Assist in the production of sales brochures and plot naming coordination
