Overview

Technical Machine Operator – £35,000 to £38,000

Our client has a great new opportunity for a Technical Machine Operator due to internal progression.

Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation, preparing materials for the process, including loading sheets or rolls of paper or card into the machine.
  • Maintaining strict quality standards by continuously monitoring the process, adjusting as needed to ensure accurate and consistent results.
  • Participate in routine cleaning and maintenance tasks for the machinery to ensure proper functioning and minimise downtime.
  • Identify and address any technical issues or malfunctions during the production process, escalating complex problems to Management.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members, including operatives and quality control, to meet production targets and address any production challenges.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing operation or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to machinery setup processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct any issues that may affect production quality.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Used to working a shift pattern.
Hours of Work

Lates Earlies Nights rotation 10-6 Sunday to Thursday / 6-2 / 2-10 Monday to Friday

  • Overtime paid at 1.25 once contractual hours worked - premium increases to 1.5 overtime rate, once 48 hours per week is exceeded
