Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Technical Lead to drive development within the Verification team, overseeing a ground-up re-architecture using Golang, React and Cloud platforms. You will lead a full stack team, champion code quality, and deliver robust verification systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture decisions, and ensure solutions meet business needs while supporting a hybrid working-from-home policy. A Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with leading development solutions.
• Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or TypeScript, or experience with similar or alternative technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced in mentoring and coaching a team.
• Good technical documentation skills.
• High standards of work and attention to detail.
• Experience of working with high availability, multiuser, service-based systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant discipline, or relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Applying governance around overall solution design, code quality and coding standards with the team.
• Driving provision of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
• Acting as a point of escalation for the team both in and out of office hours.
• Reviewing the team’s adherence and output.
• Ensuring solutions meet Business needs.
• Taking responsibility for work estimation and producing solution documents.
• Understanding the technical structure and architecture of the systems.
