CreateFuture in Manchester is seeking an experienced hands-on Technical Lead with a strong background in .NET, AWS, event‑driven architecture and CD to join a team delivering and modernising a broad range of business‑critical applications.

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Technical Lead with a strong background in .NET, AWS, event‑driven architecture, and continuous delivery to join a team delivering and modernising a broad range of business‑critical applications and services. This is very much a lead engineer role: you’ll spend the majority of your time writing code, setting technical direction by example, and working closely with engineering teams and client stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work across a broad technology landscape including .NET, Next.js and AWS. You will play a key role in building scalable, event‑driven, cloud‑native solutions, improving existing systems, and setting the technical bar for delivery.
This role requires someone comfortable operating within challenging technical environments, able to work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to simplify, improve, and evolve existing services. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as many existing platforms and services have significant operational and organisational investment behind them.
Note: this role requires onsite time in the office in Manchester 2-3 days per week.
