Are you an experienced Hardware Integration Lead working high speed ASICs and network interface cards? Are you looking to work on cutting edge products in AI and Machine Learning?

We are working with a disruptive Computer Networking company who are working on the cutting edge of AI and Machine learning technology with applications for increased productivity in Data Centre’s and HPCs.

They are looking for a Technical High-Speed Hardware Integration Lead to join them in their mission to revolutionise AI systems whilst reducing energy consumption and stiving for a sustainable future.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead outsourced hardware design initiatives, shape technical direction, and ensure flawless integration of complex hardware into advanced platforms powering the future of data centres and high-speed communications.

Responsibilities:
  • Take the lead in designing custom integrated circuits (ICs) for photonics modules in high-performance environments.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to external design partners, ensuring system-level alignment and on-time delivery.
  • Own the specification, design reviews, and approval of technical deliverables across all stages of the hardware lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute robust test plans for validation, verification, and system integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across board-level and full-system environments.
  • Manage supplier relationships, support hardware bring-up, and ensure production readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Electrical, RF, Mechanical, Software) to achieve seamless system integration.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and change control processes.
  • Lead risk management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced development cycle.
Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in hardware integration—ideally in RF, photonics, or optical systems.
  • Deep expertise in RF fundamentals, signal processing, and control loop design.
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed ADC / DAC specifications and performance tuning.
  • Proven leadership in managing external design teams and delivering complex systems.
  • A knack for producing clear, concise technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred).
