Legal & General in the UK is seeking a Technical Lead to shape engineering strategy, drive technical excellence and lead high-performing teams.

You will act as a technical authority across multiple squads, delivering secure, scalable and resilient solutions while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading technical strategy across complex environments.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, serverless and microservices.
• Deep understanding of software testing, CI/CD practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience implementing secure software development practices and embedding security within teams.
• Strong knowledge of observability frameworks, reliability engineering and metrics-driven decision-making.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers to grow.
• Strong technical background in Java, AWS, Spring Framework, Node.js, Docker and modern engineering practices.
