Job summary

Nando’s Group is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our USA Tech Team on a permanent basis. You will provide hands-on technical leadership while solving complex engineering challenges and guiding engineers to build scalable, resilient software that supports our expansion into the US market.

You’ll work with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape technical roadmaps, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and promote modern engineering practices across the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software teams in Agile environments.
• Hands-on software engineering background for distributed systems.
• Experience architecting cloud-native apps with modern practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a cross-functional engineering team.
• Define technical direction and architecture for complex distributed systems.
• Partner with Product Managers to prioritise work and align delivery with business goals.
• Remain hands-on with design, architecture, reviews and initiatives.
• Champion engineering excellence with modern practices, testing and CI/CD.
• Drive platform reliability, scalability, security and performance.
• Promote observability and operational ownership throughout the lifecycle.
• Support engineers through mentoring and technical leadership.
