Job summary

Company X in Leeds is seeking a Lead Engineer | Tech Lead to shepherd AI-first products from concept to production. You will lead a small team, mentor engineers, and own delivery outcomes while shaping architecture for enterprise clients.

You’ll work across product, engineering, and AI, building end-to-end systems with LLM orchestration, tool integration, and scalable services. A strong engineering mindset and hands-on delivery will help us move quickly with high quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in AI engineering, automation, or software development with production-ready projects.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered products from orchestration to deployment.
• Experience leading/mentoring a small team of engineers.
• Strong engineering practice: continuous improvement, governance, coaching-led leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineers, creating high-trust, high-delivery teams.
• Design and build AI-first products for diverse clients, from HealthTech start-ups to automotive brands.
• Ship production-grade LLM-powered systems with orchestration and conversational experiences.
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery to scalable delivery.
• Bridge product, engineering and AI to translate real problems into technical solutions.
• Embed AI capability into products and teams to retain value inside the business.
