Job description

In Product is partnered with a scale-up business who, after a period of stability, have reached profitability and are now scaling fast. As Tech Lead, you'll be one of the most experienced individual contributors in the engineering team, working within a cross-functional pod and leading longer-running or cross-cutting technical work when problems cross team boundaries. This isn't a people-management role and it isn't an architecture-only role - you'll stay hands-on in the code while raising the bar for the systems, decisions and engineers around you.

AI fluency is core to this role, you'll use AI throughout the engineering lifecycle - understanding systems, prototyping, implementing, testing, reviewing while remaining fully accountable for the result, verifying outputs and knowing when deeper human judgement is needed.

• You will have a track record of taking ambiguous, important work from problem to production, with concrete examples of your initiative changing pace or outcomes beyond your own assigned tasks.
• You will have concrete examples of AI genuinely multiplying your output and a mature, repeatable AI workflow you continue to improve.
• You will have strong, broad full-stack experience across backend and frontend systems, including designing and evolving systems (not just shipping tickets), with exposure to Node.js, React, React Native, MongoDB, and AWS/Terraform.
• You will have raised the effectiveness of other engineers without relying on formal authority -through pairing, feedback, design discussions or simply the standard of your own work.
