Technical Design Engineer - Yacht Interior - FINLAND - Relocation opportunity

Are you an engineer with an eye for technical precision drawings and a passion for creating exceptional yacht design? We're seeking a Technical Design Engineer to join our clients expert team in Finland, contributing to the design and development of world-class sailing yacht furniture and interior components.

Your Role

In this position, you'll be responsible for designing and engineering interior solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and craftsmanship. The work includes 3D modelling, material specification, and detailed furniture engineering to support efficient and cost-effective production. You'll collaborate closely with design, engineering, production, and procurement teams to deliver accurate and production-ready interior designs for both custom-built and serial production yachts. THIS IS NOT AN INTERIOR DESIGN ROLE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop technical engineering drawings for the joinery workshop.
  • 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using Siemens NX (or similar software).
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), purchase plans, and collaborate with production teams and suppliers.
  • Contribute to both custom and series yacht projects, working independently or as part of a project team.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external consultants to ensure precise, manufacturable designs.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Relevant educational background, such as a degree in construction, mechanical, or interior engineering.
  • Some prior experience in a related role; motivated graduates with strong technical and design aptitude are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX or comparable 3D design software; familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative working style.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; Swedish and/or Finnish language skills are an asset.
  • Willingness to relocate to Pietarsaari, Finland if not already based in the area (no remote working).

Practical Details
